DVCC first began in 1980 as a grass-roots effort led by a few courageous, tenacious women who were determined to bring the issue of domestic violence out of the shadows and into the public. They provided safety for victims, often picking up distressed victims using the family car and driving them to safety.
Today, DVCC has grown to become among the largest domestic violence agencies in Connecticut. We offer wrap around services to support victims and meet them wherever they are on their journey to healing.
